BJ’s Off-Road is proud to offer Frame Repair Kits for 1979-1991 FSJ’s! These kits repair the rusted section of frame in front of the axle where the gas tank meets the chassis. Due to the location of the gas tank skidplate and insulator pad, water and debris get trapped against the frame with no way to get out, eventually eating through the frame. Rather than swap frames or scrap your Jeep, you can now install this inexpensive kit to keep your rig on the road. Installation is simple and can be handled by the average welder or shop. Simply remove the skidplate and gas tank, mock up the kit to the rusted section and mark the frame as needed. Then simply cut out the rusted sections and install the new kit, and your rig will be safe and roadworthy! Note that this is not a cheap imitation kit; this is the original Frame Repair Kit that was engineering specifically for the FSJ’s. No cutting of or relocation of body mount required.
