Replacement water temperature gauge. This also contains the built-in Constant Voltage Regulator (CVR). When the CVR fails, the fuel gauge, oil pressure and temperature gauge all stop working at the same time. OE correct for 1976-1984, but will also work in 1973-1975 models and 1985 models (won't look exactly like the originals).

Good quality and can work with the older gauge font
I purchased this gauge for a '73 J4000. The gauge works great and appears to be of equal quality and workmanship as the original. I had to have the look as the original so I CAREFULLY removed the gauge face from both the old and new gauges and swapped the old face to the new internals. If you take your time and bend the little tabs just enough to clear the case, it can be done with excellent results. Mine works great now and looks perfect with the original face on the new gauge!
