Questions and Answers
BJ's 2.5-inch lift springs with u-bolts. Our Suspension System is All-Spring with NO BLOCKS! Impress your friends, clear more obstacles, and make your rig look like it SHOULD have from the factory! You'll be amazed at how comfortable the ride is and how much better your off-road performance will be!
Made by Deaver Spring here in the USA, this is perfect for someone who wants to put their Full-Size Jeep at the height the factory should have come with! These have been designed to lift your vehicle while still offering a very comfortable ride. The front springs have 9 leaves, and the rear has 6 leaves with two overloads. Stock shocks and brakelines should work with this kit (measure to verify). Nylon pads are installed between leaves for a softer ride.
**Note: 2-3" of lift to be expected upon installation.
Mr.
I just had this lift installed my 1988 Grand Wagoneer. The mechanics were extremely impressed with not only the quality, but also the fit of this kit. It went on seamlessly and contained everything they needed. It had made an amazing difference in the ride and look of the vehicle. I didn't want a super "jacked up" look, and this was perfect. Ryan was extremely helpful along the way. Great product and great service!

Q:
I would like to get a 2" lift kit for my 1978 Jeep Cherokee Chief S. Can you advise me on what I should get... I want it to ride nice on and off the road, no heavy four wheeling. Do I need a pitman arm? Sway bar disconnects? track bar extension braces? I am on a budget but don't want to miss anything and will have it installed by a local 4wheel shop. Thanks! Geo

A:
The base kit is all you really 'need', but I'd recommend inspecting your brakelines and shocks. If they are old or haven't been replaced in a few years, I'd recommend replacing them at the same time. The drop pitman arm is required for 4" and taller lifts, so you won't need that. The Swaybar quick disconnects are good if you go off-roading. The track bar extension brackets are also a good item to have, but your 1978 didn't have them so you won't need them.

Q:
I have an '87 Grand Wagoneer currently with stock springs and tires. Would like to do your 2" lift kit for daily driving and no serious off road use. I'm looking at putting new tires on at the same time, specifically Kelly Edge AT, which is made in USA and similar to Goodyear Wrangler. My tire shop thinks I can go from the 245/75r15 (basically a 29 in tire) stock size to a 30 tire WITHOUT the lift. Your site says Grand Wags can take a 31 in with your 2 inch lift, or does a 32 fit with your 2in kit? Also, are you familiar with any made in USA shocks to go with all this?

A:
The 2" lift will clear 30's at full flex, and is the maximum we recommend for that lift height. For the shocks, the Rancho RS5000 and RS9000XL are made in the USA, and the RS7000 are made in the USA, then go to Canada to get gas-charged, then shipped back to the states.

Q:
What is the price on this kit? $875 or $970?
Asked by:
Dale
- 8/13/2017
A:
$875 is the base price, but when you click on the product we have the braided stainless steel extended brakelines pre-selected which changes the price to $970. If you don't want the lines, you simply change that pull-down menu to say NO and it will go back to the base price.

Q:
I don't see any leaf spring kits for 1975 Cherokees. Am I missing something? Thanks.
Asked by:
Ted
- 11/3/2017
A:
Nobody makes anything for the 1974-1975 models as they had upwards of 30+ possible combinations of spring length, width, style, bushing size & type, etc. Only option for those two years is to have custom springs made.

Asked by:
Mark Reese

No, all of our kits are designed to be level when settled in. If you want the raked look, you'd need the 2.5" front springs and the 4" rear springs.

Q:
to get a shipping quote to Europe: --> what is the approx size and weight of the spring-set? --> are they boxed somehow or on a pallet? --> to reduce freight $$$ in the US: any US-(Harbor)Destination with no/low shipping charges (Seattle, LA, Houston, Miami, New York) ?
Asked by:
Gunnar

A:
The springs are around 300lbs and are shipped bare. Freight is around $300 to most locations within the USA. For Overseas customers, we have several freight forwarders we work with that can pick up here and deliver to you, which would save money. You can email
