Q:
I did the TH400 to Dana 20 adapter and was wondering if I still require the smaller diameter front driveshaft or if I could run the heavier tube?
Asked by:
Sean Graham
- 8/23/2018
A:
It is possible you can run the heavier tube, but we always recommend mocking up a shaft and cycling the suspension to be sure it will clear in all conditions.

Q:
I am measuring for a new shaft, i dont have a correct old one for an example, should i measure the shaft while suspension at full droop or sitting on flat ground?
Asked by:
Kenny
- 1/20/2019
A:
You should measure on flat ground for the base measurement. You can then measure at full droop (extension) and full compression if you like, so that you can know how much travel you'll need.

Q:
I have 76 J20. It does not have an official lift kit but I have added an OEM leaf from a Wagoneer to the front and rear leafs, and had to replace the front rear leaf hangers due to rust with thicker brackets. My original shaft length is 24” and I need and additional 2-2.5” for travel. Will the 4.5” travel extend the shaft to what I need?
Asked by:
Magnum
- 5/17/2020
A:
it should, but we always recommend measuring yoke to yoke on your current set-up, and NOT measuring the original driveshaft.
