Questions and Answers
BJ's Off-Road new crossover steering kit. This kit includes a new Reid passenger side steering knuckle, ball joints for the new knuckle and a complete drag link (from pitman arm to new knuckle).
Q:
I'm considering a SOA conversion on my '91 to run 315/70R17 on 8" rims (34.4" OD). Two questions. Is the Crossover Steering kit, the SOA kit, and shocks all I need, or do I also need a pitman arm and drive shafts? Do you think the 34.4" tires will fit under this lift?

A:
SOA on a NarrowTrack will allow you to clear 33's, possibly 34's. The Crossover Kit, SOA kit and Shocks are a good start. You will also want longer brakelines (http://www.bjsoffroad.com/Stainless-Steel-Brake-Line-Kit-8-10-Inch-Lift_p_260.html) and you will need longer driveshafts for an SOA. The Crossover steering kit will reuse your stock pitman arm, so no need to change that.

A:
Yours is a narrowtrack. Here is the breakdown:
Narrowtrack:
1963-1983 Wagoneer
1984-1991 Grand Wagoneer
1974-1983 Cherokee S (without the large factory fender flares)
Approximately 52" between driver and passenger tie rod holes on the knuckles
Widetrack:
1963-1988 J-series pickups (all)
1974-1983 Cherokee Chief (with the large factory fender flares)
Approximately 55" between driver and passenger tie rod holes on the knuckles

A:
We only offer it as a crossover kit at this time. We may offer full high steer in the future.
