Flow Kooler High Flow Aluminum Water Pump 1973-91 AMC V8

I've just rebuilt my amc 360 for my 1983 cherokee (sj). I've had no end of trouble trying to figure out why the thing was overheating. I had to drive to cool it, and would sit nervously at an intersection, watching the temp gauge rapidly rising. I ended up replacing every component of the cooling system I could find, yet the problem still persisted. Then I found this beautiful, God-Blessed water pump. I ended up waiting almost 3 months on back order for it, and it was worth the wait! My jeep runs cool all day long now! It hardly ever runs above cool, and when I've run it all day it still doesn't reach the half-way point on the gauge. I will be ordering another of these water pumps as a back-up, who knows if it will still be out there when I need another. I also have to say that BJ's has a high-flow thermostat they offer for it, and I advise you pick it up as well. Had the website not recommended it I might have overlooked it. BJ's customer service was also fantastic, and they were more than helpful when talking to me when the pump went on back order.

This water pump blows away anything in the stock realm of course but is very nicely priced in the aftermarket area. The pump works great moves plenty of coolant at all ranges but especially idle which is important for me because I like to cruise on the beach at maybe 10 mph.
