Felt window guide channel that rests in the top and rear of the front door (where glass sits when closed). 2 required per vehicle. This is a quality aftermarket reproduction!

Fixed my rattling windows

Very pleased with these, fixed my '80 J-truck rattling windows. Replaced my petrified stock slide channels. I was able to install with the vent window, window wipes and glass still in the door. Broke out all the old slide channel. Removed all the bolts for the window center bar (front slide channel), window crank and window bottom stop. With the window down, flex the front slide channel forward, and carefully manuver (pull, pry) the rear edge of the window just out of the rear track. Look at how the corner of the seal is supposed to sit, press in the seal to the track. No More Rattling Windows!

Q: Is this the piece that runs vertical at the back of the window to keep it from rattling?

A: Yes, this piece runs vertically in the back of the front door shell as well as horizontal at the top of the door shell, and keeps the window from rattling. Note that it is a single piece that bends at a 90 degree angle to fit both the back and top of the door (same as the original).

Q: How do I install this item?

A: First you will need to remove all of the existing channel, including any left over rubber / felt pieces. Then, line this channel up with the metal channel inside the door shell, and push it into place by hand. It will lock into place automatically.

A: Absolutely! These Fit: 1963-1983 Wagoneer, 1984-1991 Grand Wagoneer, 1974-1983 Cherokee and 1963-1988 J-trucks (all FSJ Pickups are J-trucks, including the Gladiator).
