Replacement In-Tank Fuel Level Sending Unit. Includes o-ring and filter sock.

Installation Instructions

**Note** All sending units may require adjustment during installation in order to dial in the exact reading. This means you may have to slightly bend the float arm up or down in order to get the perfect reading. Because of this, we do recommend dropping the gas tank and adjusting before final installation.

Q: What is the ohm for full/empty on this unit?

A: Empty=73 Ohm, Full=10 Ohm

Q: 2 things: 1) the description and title conflict; will this direct fit a 1991 Grand Wagoneer? 2) The picture shows an incomplete unit, without the sock, wiring, lock ring and gasket. Does this come with that?

A: There isn't any conflict with the description and title, this unit fits 80-83 Wagoneer / Cherokee models, as well as 84-85 Grand Wagoneer Models. The filter isn't shown in the picture, but that as well as the o-ring are included per the notes in the product description. The lock ring is available separately, and this unit doesn't use a servo like the later models did. If you are indeed looking for a 1991 unit, then you will need to go here:

The 1986-1991 Grand Wagoneer fuel level sending units were different than the 1984/1985 Grand Wagoneer units.

A: These are all aftermarket, as the OEM's have all been discontinued.

Q: Part #12 on the sending unit indicates "not required". Will the pickup tube filter stay on the pickup tube without a clamp?

Q: Does this item include the (2) clamps needed to secure the fuel lines to the top of the new sending unit?

A: No, those are standard hose clamps that you can get from any local auto parts store.
