Speedometer Cable without Cruise Control 1974-1979

I eliminated the cruise control module on my 1976 Cherokee and used this single cable from BJ's. The install was very easy. I was dreading the process because the cable can be hard to reach from behind the dash, and my transfer case is caked in layers of prehistoric oil and muck. However... I must say that the install was much easier than I thought it'd be. Since the cardboard glove box was missing, I was able to reach through that hole, up and around the steering column and unscrew the cable from the speedometer. The cable that screws onto the transfer case is easy to reach, so I just wiped the area and unscrewed the original cable with a monkey wrench. Snaking the new cable through the same path as the original cable brought the end precisely where it needed to be at the transfer case. The grommet fit perfectly in the firewall hole and I stepped back in amazement that it was all done so quickly. :)
